A lawyer who was born in Canada, Mr. Lafaille has been a member of the bar in Quebec since 1967 and has completed studies for a Masters degree in Economics. From 1970 to 1976, he was Secretary of the Board and Legal Counsel to Loto-Quebec (Canada). In 1976, he established the Atlantic Lottery Corporation in Canada's four Atlantic Provinces and was ALC's first General Manager. In 1977, he returned to Loto-Quebec for an eight-year term as CEO. Following a year in the cable distribution business, in 1986 he joined GTECH Corporation, the multinational supplier of goods and services to the gaming industry and a US $1 billion company listed on the NYSE, as President of GTECH Europe SA. Mr. Lafaille left GTECH in September 2001.
