Year of Sundays Gospel Reflections 2006

Each Sunday, in churches all over the world, we hear the Scriptures proclaimed. The gospel stories we have heard throughout our lives have the power to transform us. The familiar becomes formational when we listen with more than our ears and open ourselves to a genuine encounter with the Lord who is present in Word and sacrament. To facilitate this transformation, A Year of Sundays focuses on the gospels proclaimed during the liturgical year that begins on the First Sunday of Advent in 2004 and continues through the Feast of Christ the King in November 2005. There is a brief reflection for each Sunday, as well as Ash Wednesday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday.
