SUMMARY

For over twenty years, writer Chris Claremont has guided the X-Men to best-selling status in the comic-book industry. He continues to pen the monthly adventures of these famous mutants in the pages of the Uncanny X-Men. Considered to be one of comics' most influential creators for more than twenty years, Frank Miller has produced such masterpieces as Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Sin City and Elektra: Assassin. As the writer and artist on Daredevil, he, introduced Elektra to the series and transformed the book into a gritty fan-favorite. Miller is currently co-directing a motion-picture adaptation of Sin City with Robert Rodriguez, slated for a 2005 release. Industry veteran Len Wein wrote Giant-Sized X-Men #1, an historic issue introducing an all-new, all-different version of the X-Men that included Wolverine in the group's lineup for the very first time. Wein also co-created Nightcrawler, Colossus and Storm - characters that have become integral parts of the X-Men mythos. In recent years, Wein has lent his writing talents to various TV animation projects. As a contributing artist for more than thirty years, Herb Trimpe is best known for his extended run on Incredible Hulk, stretching more than one hundred issues. He continues to draw comic books, as well as teach illustration to a new generation of artists. Serving as both a writer and editor for Marvel Comics, Mark Gruenwald was a longtime fixture on Captain America and Avengers. Squadron Supreme, a realistic look at a super-hero team attempting to create a utopian society, highlighted his career. Mark Gruenwald passed away in 1996, his talents sorely missed by many of his devoted fans. Mike Zeck has been a comic-book illustrator since 1978. In 1986, his collaboration with writer Steven Grant on Punisher: Circle of Blood transformed the one-time Spider-Man nemesis into one of Marvel's most popular characters. Zeck recently completed work on a revived G.I. Joe comic book for Devil's Due Publishing. Barry Windsor-Smith got his start in the early '70s illustrating Conan the Barbarian for Marvel Comics. He quickly established a reputation as one of the industry's finest new talents - moving on to stints on the Avengers, Daredevil and X-Men. His most recent works include hardcover chronicles of his career entitled Opus and Opus 2. His Conan work has become available once again with the release of Dark Horse's Chronicles of Conan collection.Marvel is the author of 'Wolverine', published 2004 under ISBN 9780785113706 and ISBN 0785113703.
