Al Brodax was born in New York City. At age eighteen he enlisted in the army and served in WWII, during which he was wounded in the Battle of the Bulge and subsequently awarded the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and three battle stars. Mr Brodax began his career at the William Morris Agency, where he serviced Pulitzer Prize Playhouse. A decade later he joined King Features Syndicate, where he created and headed their TV and motion picture department and produced over 500 animations for TV, including Popeye, Barney Google, Krazy Kat, Beetle Bailey and the Beatles Cartoon Series. He lives in Connecticut with his wife and an unbroken line of Golden RetrieversBrodax, Al is the author of 'Up Periscope Yellow The Making of the Beatles Yellow Submarine', published 2004 under ISBN 9780879109929 and ISBN 0879109920.
