Unbroken Spirit: Survivor's Speak is a book containing very spiritual poetry, some very graphic poetry relating to human suffering, some humorous poetry, and some very prophetic poetry. The constant theme is the suffering of women and their unbroken spirit. Peggy Feldkamp-Allen wrote this book from a spiritual point of view. It is her way of helping others to let their voices be heard. She has attempted to express the deepest human emotions resulting from human contact whether it be individual, social or spiritual. There are poems contained within this book that express the depths of human sorrow resulting from love breaking ones heart; from physical and sexual abuse, violence, injustice and loss of freedom. You will also find stories of survivors detailing the horrors they have been subjected to. Yet another constant theme represented is the seemingly unbreakable spirit of womankind. Some people might interpret some of these writings to be of one or another political or social point of view. The author does not intend to represent any political or social point of view. The art images she selected for illustration of each poem were selected after the poems were written. Her purpose in using fantasy art was multiple. Namely, the brilliance of color, the expression of human passion, the graphically depicted battle between good and evil, the warrior spirit within woman fighting the dominance of man, and evil wielded upon women and the innocent. Through it all, one voice touches another and another and the spirit of woman survives. These poems were written by the author from the depths of her soul inspired spiritually. Many of them were written through the expression of her own pain andsorrows as well as her desire to awaken to the public to the abuse, violence and injustice against women that is going on worldwide.Feldkamp-Allen, Peggy is the author of 'Unbroken Spirit Survivors Speak' with ISBN 9781420808476 and ISBN 1420808478.
