Tropes and Sequences in the Liturgy of the Church in Piacenza in the Twelfth Century An Analysis and an Edition of the Texts

Brian Moller Jensen, born in Vodskov, Denmark, received his M.A. in Classical Philology from Arhus, DK and his Ph.D. in Church History from Copenhagen, DK. Now living in Stockholm, he teaches in the Department of Classical Languages at Stockholm University. He has published various articles on medieval liturgical poetry, on mariology and hagiography, especially in Italian manuscripts, as well as commentary to the facsimile of the famous Liber Magistri in Piacenza, and the new Danish translation of the Rule of St. Benedict.
