Andrew W. Dobelstein, Ph.D. received his B.A. degree from Valparasio University, his social work degree from Case Western Reserve University and his Ph.D. in Political Science from Duke University. Dr. Dobelstein has been with the University of North Carolina since 1968, first as an Assistant Professor, and then as a full professor. Also, he has been a visiting professor with UCLA, and has been a Guest Scholar at The Brookings Institution, and is a fellow in the Institute of Political Leadership. He formed and serves as president of the Conference on Poverty, a 501,C,(3) non-profit corporation which provides data, training and consultation to local organizations working with poverty personsAndrew W.
