Janine Warner is the author of several books about the Internet including Dreamweaver For Dummies and Managing Web Projects For Dummies. She is also a part-time faculty member at the University of Miami, where she teaches a Dreamweaver Web Design course for the School of Communication. From 1998 to 2000, she worked for The Miami Herald, first as their Online Managing Editor, and later as Director of New Media, managing a team of designers, programmers, journalists, and marketing staff for The Miami Herald, El Nuevo Herald, and Miami.com. She also served as Director of Latin American Operations for CNET Networks, an international technology media company. From 1994 to 1998, Janine ran Visiontec Communications, a Web design business in Northern California, where she worked on such diverse projects as the corporate intranet for Levi Strauss and Co., an extranet sales site for AirTouch International, and e-commerce solutions for many small- and medium-size businesses.
