Randy Burgess has been a professional writer all his adult life, first as a reporter for the Bridgeport Post and Hartford Courant newspapers, and currently as a freelance marketing writer for the information technology industry. He first played nickel-ante poker with friends from the newsroom in his twenties and thirties; only when he was past forty did the poker bug seriously bite.
