Jerry Kays was born in southwest Washington State in 1940. His first love was commercial fishing done aboard the family boats ranging the Pacific coast in search of salmon and tuna. With enlistment in the US Navy's nuclear submarine program, followed by private travel, he has seen much of the world.Considering himself a 'œjack-of-all-trades, master-of-none,' he has been a bartender, tugboat engineer and Generation Power Dispatcher on the federal high-voltage electrical power grid of the Pacific Northwest. Prior to his retirement, he experienced the accidental death of his son. That led to a depressive 'œmid-life crisis,' the healing of which came from a 'œSpiritual Awakening' subsequent to a contemplative 'œseeking with-in.'Moving to the rural forest of northwest Montana gave him the solitude to further study and reflect, leading to the writing of this book, a 'œspiritual mission' meant to impart some needed wisdom to a world in the throes of a dangerous, and ever-increasing polarization that, if not corrected, may well lead to a real 'œWorld Crisis.'Kays, Jerry C. is the author of 'Spirit Calls...a Voice from the Wilderness Transcending Religion Via the Essence of Metaphor', published 2005 under ISBN 9781419623028 and ISBN 1419623028.
