Spiders in the Woods

Jess and Bob find what they think is a meteorite on the island where they live. The children soon discover that this is no ordinary meteorite. Its an egg, and when it hatches it produces unusual and highly intelligent spiders that grow at an alarming rate. After observing the spiders for several days, the children become frightened, so they enlist the aid of Bob's eccentric friend, Professor Ipswich.
