H. Steven Robertson was born and raised in Florida. He resides with his wife Kathy and daughters, Summer and Sunny, in Neptune Beach, Florida. As an adolescent, Coach Robertson worked on a ranch and in the orange groves outside Sebring, where he graduated from Sebring High School. He attended Newberry College in South Carolina on a full football scholarship, graduating in 1967 with a liberal arts degree. He received his master¿s degree in educational supervision and administration from the University of Florida in 1972. For 37 years, Coach Robertson served in various capacities, including teacher, librarian, dean of boys, administrative assistant, and assistant principal, in the Duval County (FL) School District. He also coached soccer, football, softball, track and other sports offered by the District. Coach Robertson has an artistic side. He drew the cover art for six published novels, which include Jetty Man, Mullet Run, Oak Baby, Horny Toad, and Joe Jumpers, by G. W. Reynolds III, and The Red Cotton Fields and Crippled Pelican by Michael Strickland. Coach Robertson¿s artwork also appears in his novel, Ranch Boy, which makes him among only 2% of all authors who illustrate their own novels. He also has a book of poems and illustrations, Acorns of Love and Wisdom, which has received high acclaim. Coach Robertson writes a regular column, ¿Writer¿s Block,¿ for First Coast Communities, a feature of The Florida-Times Union newspaper¿s Internet site, and is working on another novel.Robertson, Steven is the author of 'Soccer Made Easy for Americans ', published 2005 under ISBN 9780976729105 and ISBN 0976729105.
