Roy S. Moore is married to Kayla, and they have four children: Heather, Ory, Caleb, and Micah. He graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point with a bachelor of science degree in 1969 and completed his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1977. Captain Roy Moore served in the U.S. Army as a company commander with the Military Police Corp in Vietnam. He became a judge of the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit of Alabama in 1992, and served until his election as chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court in 2000. John Perry graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University, with additional studies at University College in Oxford. He is the author of numerous books, including recent biographies of James Draper, Charles Colson, Sgt. Alvin York, and Mrs. Robert E. Lee. He is a Gold Medallion finalist, and a nominee for the Lincoln Prize, awarded to books on the Civil War era.
