School of the Future : Parent Volunteer Program, San Antonio

In Summer 1990l, the School of the Future was created in a disadvantaged neighborhood in San Antonio, TX. This innovative project was designed to enhance the lives of children in poverty & their families, by providing an integrated array of health & human services. The school drew upon a small group of parents actively concerned about their children's education as the core for starting a Parent Volunteer Program.
