SUMMARY

Salmons & Sons was founded in 1830 by Joseph Salmons and quickly became famous for its high-quality horse-drawn coaches, dog-carts, and rally-carts. In 1939 the family business became a limited company, and following the retirement of the Salmons brothersgrandsons of Joseph Salmonsthe company was renamed Tickford Ltd in 1943. Now a part of Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd, this is the history of the internationally renowned company and its long-established tradition of high quality coachwork.Mynard, Dennis is the author of 'Salmons and Sons : The Tickford Coachbuilders', published 2007 under ISBN 9781860774225 and ISBN 1860774229.
