James Ritchie is a former consultant to the New South Wales Police Service, where he designed and implemented a comprehensive program of reform to improve crime reduction initiatives and boost officer morale. He has worked with police services in Britain, the United States, Japan and Scandinavia Clifford Shearing is a Professor of Criminology and Sociology at the University of Toronto and at the School of Government at the University of the Western Cape.
