Records of English Court Music 1485-1714

Records of English Court Music aims to present a new calendar of the material from the Lord Chamberlain's papers, first published in Henry Cart de Lafontaine's The King's Musick (London 1909), and also to incorporate related but hitherto unpublished records of English Court music and musicians. It also supersedes the remarkable pioneering work of Willibald Nagel: Annalen der englischen Hofmusik von der Zeit Heinrichs VIII, bis zum Tode Karls I.
