Nuclear security under the oversight of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is a product of the private sector working in close partnership with Federal, State, & local authorities. Well before the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, the NRC had provided for the protection of these key parts of our national infrastructure & public safety. This report outlines additional NRC actions to protect our Nation's nuclear facilities against terrorist attacks.
