Recent improvements in communications technology have contributed to the erosion of personal privacy and caused substantial public concern. This report examines privacy policy and privacy issues in Texas, and makes recommendations to the Texas Legislature's Privacy Task Force. The study consists of three major parts. The first is a sample of the opinions of Texas citizens regarding threats to their privacy rights and their perspectives on the source of these threats.
