Presents the first information from the 2002 National Survey on Drug Use & Health (NSDUH), an annual survey of the civilian, non-institutionalized population of the U.S. aged 12 years or older. Prior to 2002, the survey was called the National Household Survey on Drug Abuse. This report provides a concise summary of the main results from the 2002 NSDUH. Because of improvements & modifications implemented in 2002, estimates from the 2002 NSDUH should not be compared with estimates from the 2001 or earlier versions of the survey to examine changes over time.
