Richard S. Requa, A.I.A., was instrumental in establishing the Spanish style of architecture to new buildings in California during the first decades of the 20th century. Living and working in San Diego, he helped to establish Spanish and Mediterranean styles into the building plans for the 1915 California Pacific International Exposition in Balboa Park, San Diego.
