Netherlandish Sculpture 1450-1550

Paul Williamson is Keeper of Sculpture, Metalwork, Ceramics & Glass at the Victoria and Albert Museum. He joined the Museum in 1979, and was Chief Curator of Sculpture between 1989 and 2001. He has written extensively on sculpture and medieval art, including catalogues of Romanesque and Northern Gothic Sculpture at the V&A (in 1983 and 1988 respectively) and medieval sculpture and works of art in the Thyssen-Bornemisza collection (1987). He has been involved in the organization of many exhibitions on medieval art, including English Romanesque Art 1066-1200 (London, 1984), Age of Chivalry: Art in Plantagenet England 1200-1400 (London, 1987-88) and Images in Ivory: Precious Objects of the Gothic Age (Detroit and Baltimore, 1997), and is currently Vice-President of the Society of Antiquaries of LondonWilliamson, Paul is the author of 'Netherlandish Sculpture 1450-1550' with ISBN 9780810966024 and ISBN 0810966026.
