National Digital Preservation Initiatives : An Overview of Developments in Australia, France, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom and of Related International Activity

Provides an overview of selected key national & multinational initiatives in digital preservation occurring in 4 countries -- Australia, France, the Netherlands, & the U.K. -- as well as related multinational initiatives. The initiatives were chosen because they would be of particular relevance & interest to the U.S. Nat. Digital Information Infrastructure & Preservation Program (NDIIPP). This study aims to put these initiatives into their national & international context & to outline major developments. It is intended to be a high-level survey; for this reason, it does not aim to be exhaustive or detailed in terms of practices & procedures.
