Dr. Richard O'Connell's experience in counseling includes the roles of district guidance coordinator, director of guidance and counselor in various New York and New Jersey public and private schools. He is the reciepient of the New York State and Nassau County's "Counselor of the Year Awards" and numerous New York State and Nassau Counselor's Association awards for his innovative programs and professional publications dealing with all aspects of guidance srvices. He began his career teaching fifty-four student, eight subjects a day in the same classroom. He then spent two years teaching high school English before beginning his career as a guidance counselor. He has a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, two Masters Degrees from Manhattan College in Counseling Psychology and English Lieterature and a Bachelor of Arts from The Catholic University of America.
