SUMMARY

Mosby's Dental Drug Reference 2005 is an up-to-date drug resource designed to be used chair side in the dental office. The user-friendly design provides easy access to essential information on over 1,600 of the most commonly prescribed drug products, including the top 200 prescription drugs in the United States. An easy-to-use cross index is the key to using this book for both brand and generic name identification. A second index, based on a therapeutic and pharmacologic classification, can also be used to quickly locate drug monographs. The 2005 edition contains a 20-page insert at the back of the book, entitled New Drug Updates, with information on new drugs that have recently received FDA approval. This reference book easily fits in the pocket of a clinic coat and the soft cover design reduces bulk and weight, making it ideal for use in any dental office. CD-ROM bound in the back of each book contains 30 full-color images of pathologic conditions that may result from drugs patients are taking. Each drug is cross-referenced to the page in the book where the drug is discussed. The CD also contains over 950 patient education sheets (customizable to include specific practice information). These sheets provide patients with invaluable drug information and specific instructions, and all are available in both English and Spanish.
