More Secure World

This UN report suggests how nations can work together to meet the threats facing humanity. It is the work of a panel of 16 eminent & experienced people, drawn from different parts of the world, whom UN Sec.-Gen. Kofi Annan asked to assess current threats to international peace & security; to evaluate how well our existing policies & institutions have done in addressing those threats; & to recommend ways of strengthening the UN to provide collective security for the 21st century. This report suggests not only ways to deal with particular threats, but also new ways of understanding the connections between them, & explains what this implies in terms of shared policies & institutions.
