Dr. Gauthier received his M.D. from the University of Montreal, Qubec, Canada. Dr. Gauthier has received several notable awards, including the Galien Award and the Canadian College of Neuropsychopharmacology Innovations in Neuropsychopharmacology Award. Dr. Gauthier is also the editor of numerous other Informa Healthcare titles, including Vascular Cognitive Impairment; Clinical Diagnosis and Management of Alzheimer's Disease, Third Edition; Trial Designs and Outcomes in Dementia Therapeutic Research; and the first edition of Management of Dementia. Clive Ballard is Professor in the Department of Biomedical and Health Sciences, King's College, London, UK. His primary areas of research include investigating genetic and neurochemical approaches to dementia. Dr. Ballard currently works with a team of professors, research associates, and students to explore the key symptoms in people with dementia and determine the mechanisms underlying dementia to develop new treatments.
