When I decided to write a book, it was always going to be an autobiography, because I couldn't be arsed doing research for it! After all, I don't write for a living, it's just a task for my retirement, to amuse me and anybody else who may deign to read it. To satisfy me and add some spice to the narrative, I hope to make it a "warts and all" account, and when I covet somebody else's "warts" I'll claim them for myself rather than let the truth get in the way of a good story. This, of course, brings it's own potential problems, that I may offend or shock friends and relatives, or embarrass others, if I were to assert that my prose was strictly accurate, so I declare now that this book is only "semi-autobiographical," which means it is semi-fictional too ! To make the process easier, I am going to use fictitious names for everybody (including me) throughout, to protect the innocent, the not so innocent, and the out and out guilty (including me)!Allan, Duncan is the author of 'Man Who Was Born Twice A Semi-autobiographical Novel of a Life, Described As a Curate's Egg, by the Curate That Laid It.', published 2006 under ISBN 9781420891430 and ISBN 142089143X.
