Lesson in Time

Kiera Anthony, a young African-American woman who does not like being black and who does not like anything pertaining to the black culture, is totally detached from and uninterested in the history of her people. Due to no interaction with other African-Americans, she totally embraces the stereotypical views placed upon Black Americans. She is taken back in time to experience first hand the cruelty of slavery, racism, and prejudice. The views Kiera held pertaining to African-Americans caused disappointment in her parents and anger in other relatives. Determined to live the superficial lifestyle she had become accustomed to, Kiera decided to distance herself even furtherato end her relationship with her family members.
