This book analyses the economic perspectives of the various groups of less developed countries during the 1990s. It tries to answer the question of what amount of external financial flows will be required in the various scenarios to achieve 'acceptable' pre-determined patterns of economic growth in the developing world, and what the future role of development aid can be in that respect. The study employs various methodologies in trying to answer the above question, and focuses on all less developed regions, and on the least developed in particular.
