Kurgan

Born in Woodstock, Ontario, Don Coles studied at Cambridge University and lived in Europe for a number of years, returning to Canada in the mid-'60s. His books of poetry include The Prinzhorn Collection; Landslides: Selected Poems 1975-1985; K. in Love; Little Birdand Forests of the Medieval Worldfor which he won the Governor General's Award for Poetry in 1993. Don Coles served as Poetry Editor for 'The May Studio' at the Banff Centre for the Fine Arts (1984-94) and taught in the Humanities Division at York University until 1996.Kurganhas been awarded the 14th annual Trillium Prize / Prix Trillium given to the best book published (in any genre) in the province of Ontario in the year 2000.Coles, Don is the author of 'Kurgan' with ISBN 9780889842113 and ISBN 0889842116.
