Kittens in My Garden

In these pages you will find many new and creative techniques that will help you create the scenes. There are interesting embroideries and lots of choices for the motifs that you are going to print on to the printer fabric. The longer I delve into this creative path I have chosen, the more ways I find to use the techniques and the more techniques that are spawned by the products that continue to be developed for our world of sewing quilting and embroidering.One of the newest techniques is the actual printing of a precious little quilt to put into scene one. You will also find creative fences that are used as an arbor in scene five. There are tiny robins and beautiful butterflies for a true garden feel. Oh! We can't forget Mr. Spider and his beautiful web. We can't have a garden with at least one.Another feature of Kittens in My Garden that makes it unique is the tiny scale with which we are working. The first set of patterns had the kittens looking so large that it put us in mind of the ?Cat who ate Chicago!? Whoa! Something had to be done about that so the scenes were re-drawn with a much different perspective. Now they are more what I was thinking of. Most of the embroideries that you will find will be entirely too large to substitute in these scenes...possibly, if you have Tiny Gardens, some of the flowers and ferns will fit right in. But do be careful to keep things in the same scale. If you have sizing software that is a re-calculating program...that means that it will add stitches when you make designs bigger and subtract stitches when you make things smaller...then you might be able to re-size some of your smaller embroidery designs for just the right touch. When trying to re-size the kittens, because of the way they are digitized with the fur technique...you will have limited success making them smaller if you choose to do so. For most of the kittens, you have two sizes...if you only have one'it was unwise to resize it. By all means, give it a try but be sure to do a sew out on something other than your background.
