Is there Pre-Columbian Writing at Teotihuacan? began as a study to yield a closer examination of a limited set of glyphic elements found at the archaeological site of Teotihuacan in Mexico, in order to verify whether said elements may be part of a writing system. The study of the glyphs presented in the book was structured in such a way as to thoroughly examine the data for similarities between the glyphic elements and the requirements for Meso-American writing systems. This study was not decipherment.
