Georgeanna J. Klingensmith, MD, is a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and Director of Pediatric Diabetes Services at the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes and The Children's Hospital in Denver. A pediatric endocrinologist, Dr. Klingensmith has expertise in the epidemiology of diabetes and diabetes autoimmunity in children, the psychological impact on families of the identification of infants at very high risk for diabetes, and the exploration of new therapies for children with type 1 diabetes.
