Information Operations Warfare and the Hard Reality of Soft Power

Leigh Armistead is a retired naval officer with staff and operational tours of duty in airborne early warning and C[superscript 3] units. Formerly an instructor in Information Warfare at the Joint Forces Staff College, he is currently an information assurance officer at Fleet Forces Command. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and U.S. Air Force Command and Staff College, he is a doctoral candidate at Edith Cowan University, Perth, Australia, where he is writing his dissertation on IO.
