Indian Self-Determination Act Shortfalls in Indian Contract Support Costs Need to Be Addressed

The Indian Self-Determination & Educ. Assistance Act (ISDA) was passed in 1975 to encourage tribal participation in, & management of, programs that for years had been administered on their behalf by the Depts. of the Interior of Health & Human Services. This report is on the Bureau of Indian Affairs' & the Indian Health Services' management of contract support funding under the ISDA. The report contains recommendations designed to help ensure that contract support costs are paid consistently.
