Edward Zigler, Ph.D., is currently a Sterling Professor of Psychology, Emeritus, at Yale University. He founded and is Director of the Yale Center in Child Development and Social Policy and is the author, coauthor, and editor of hundreds of scholarly publications. He was one of the planners of both Projects Head Start and Follow Through, as well as the network of Parent and Child Centers (the forerunner of the Early Head Start program, which he also helped plan).
