Hard Landscape Case Studies Concept and construction Detail

This book illustrates, explains and describes hard landscape construction detailing in the context of a wider urban landscape scheme. Ten model schemes have been selected from a variety of types of practices and individual designers to represent a wide range of hard landscape detailing. The idea is to look at existing schemes and to deconstruct them. The model schemes are used as case studies and include brief statement of intent from the designer, plenty of photographs, detailed sketches and annotated sections/plans to illustrate the principles and ideas behind the design and how they have been worked through in practice. This is the approach that is missing in many other landscape texts in which individual landscape construction details are examined, rather than the complete scheme.
