Glossary of Computing Terms: An Introduction

This is the fourth edition of a highly successful, well-established reference book, first published by the British Computer Society, which defines the most commonly used terms in computing in a concise and easily understandable manner. It is divided into sections reflecting major areas of computing (applications, machine architecture, programming languages, etc.), within which entries appear alphabetically. Cross-referencing is also included, where appropriate, giving coherence to the book as a whole, and a complete index is provided. This new edition has been considerably expanded and contains over 750 defined terms.
