Chef Abundio S. Baet, was born to a family of artisans in Paete, Laguna a town known for talented woodcarvers in the Philippines. After leaving the town in 1986, Chef Abundio worked as a cook and artist/chef for numerous hotels, caterings, restaurants, and prestigious cruise lines. In 1989, he moved to Miami,Florida to be with his wife Rebecca A. Baet. There in Miami, he became a certified Food Manager. Chef Abundio has become an ice carving champion and is well-known as the ice man. Chef Abundio shared his knowledge in carving by giving free ice, fruit and vegetable carving demonstrations in various culinary schools in the Miami-Ft lauderdale area and on numerous TV networks. Today, Chef Abundio is currently employed by one of the largest culinary groups, that caters to television & radio personalities, sports owners, players and fans.
