A FUNNY WAY TO LEARN ENGLISH is not a grammar book -- it is a book about grammar, which aims to teach you the basic points of the English Language in a humorous and enjoyable way. This is not intended to be a comprehensive guide to all aspects of English grammar -- there are many other books which do that, and you'll find they're all far larger than this one! What I intend to do here is teach most of the basics of English grammar by example -- usually with examples of incorrect language usage that are, I hope, amusing. As a teacher for 40 years in Scottish primary, junior secondary, comprehensive schools, and 18 years teaching English in night school, I can not but help noting that the corrections I made in English at the start of my career are the same as when I retired.
