Exaltation : Piano/Vocal Book: Songs of Women-Sacred Solos

This piano/vocal book consists of sacred solos by women authors and composers and is a companion volume to the CD recording of the same name, Exaltation. Some are very familiar and others are lesser known. The songs fall into three main groups. (1) The first group consists of song texts by well known writers and poets. (2) The second group consists of sacred songs with musical compositions by women. (3) The third group consists of sacred song texts by women. While this collection includes selections with music by well known compowers, such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Arthur Sullivan, the works of considerable number of contemporary composers are also included: Mary K.
