In light of periods of volatility in energy costs since the 1990s, the Nat. Center for Ed. Stats. (NCES) undertook this survey, which examined the effects of energy needs on 851 public school districts & was designed to contribute to a better understanding of how increases in energy expenditures influence school district budgeting & actions.
