Derrick and Sierra Take Baths

Derrick cannot understand why his friends must retire for the evening before dark. No one calls him for dinner. Boasting he does not have to take baths often, his mates try the same antic, but with some discipline from their parents. Sierra however does manage to stand tall with Derrick or so she thinks. The school bus and classroom ripe with aromatic scents cause Ms. Collins to contact their parents and take advantage making a weekend assignment of a project questionnaire on the many aspects of bathing. On the return to school, they all have a class discussion. Derrick gets a private conversation with Ms. Collins. Derrick does take a bath, giving him class recognition for a surprising turn of thoughtfulness for others and doing the project for himself without help!
