The study of Multi-Agent Systems has become an important new field of computer science. It is now realized that topics such as Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) and Distributed Artificial Intelligence (DAI) have a universal appeal because they investigate the more social side of computer systems. This social aspect ranges from Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), Organizational Processing and Distributed Problem Solving (DPS), to Simulation of Social Systems and Organizations.
