With today's emphasis on cultural diversity, this series provides stimulating observations on the lifestyles of far ranging countries. Through its abundance of full color illustrations & photos, foreign cultures come alive for young readers. Each book is a complete treatment of the country, & the same major topics are covered for all countries. These include people, lifestyle, geography, history, government, trade, religion, language, arts, leisure & food. Each volume contains statistics, historical charts & basic economic facts placed in reference panels within the text. There are photographs on every page, as well as maps showing political & physical divisions, flora & fauna & endangered species. The set is being published in groups of six titles every six months, with 48 titles planned overall.
