Former charterboat skipper Frank Sargeant is one of America's best-known boating writers. He's boating editor of Outdoor Life, a contributing editor for Boating, and a features editor for Florida Sportsman, as well as senior script writer for Outdoor World, which appears weekly on TNN. His award-winning columns for the Tampa Tribune have been a favorite with Floridians for almost two decades, and he's written a dozen books on boating and the outdoors. He's also host of Frank Sargeant's Outdoors Expo, Florida's largest outdoors show, which takes place each February in Tampa. Formerly a senior writer with Disney World Publications, Sargeant has also been an editor for Sea and for CBS Publishing. His first book, The Snook Book, is considered a classic among flats fishing books and is now in its eighth edition. He holds a Master's degree in English from Ohio University and has taught writing at the high school and college levels. Sargeant received the National Marine Manufacturers Association Award as the nation's top boating writer in 1992. His boating experience circles the globe and includes voyages on Hudson Bay, New Zealand's Bay of Plenty, the Indian Ocean off South Africa, and many ports throughout the Caribbean.
