Virgie M. Binford is an educational consultant, motivational speaker, and workshop facilitator. She serves on the executive board of directors of the National Council on Self-Esteem. A graduate of Virginia State University, Binford earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in elementary education before earning her doctorate at Virginia Tech. She has studied at Columbia University and has furthered her education at the University of Virginia and in international studies. Binford served Richmond Public Schools as a teacher, supervisor, and director of various early-childhood and elementary-education programs, and she has taught at Virginia Union University and J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. She is actively involved in civic, church, and educational organizations, including the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, All Souls Presbyterian Church, and Pi Lambda Theta Rona Leach serves as a director for her school system in Robeson County, North Carolina. She was raised as the only child of her parents, the late Ranzie and Sarah Leach. Rona earned her bachelor of arts degree from St. Andrews Presbyterian College, two master's degrees from North Carolina A&T State University, and her doctorate in educational leadership from Nova University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She has served as a middle school teacher, assistant principal, principal of several middle and junior high schools, and taught several courses through the community college. Working with children extends beyond her job and into her church and community. She has a passion for helping others by giving back to the world what has been given to her.
