Biomedical Optical Imaging

James G. Fujimoto is Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Adjunct Professor of Ophthalmology at Tufts New England Medical Center. His group works in the area of femtosecond optics and biomedical optical imaging, including the development of optical coherence tomography. He is a member of the National Academy of Science and the National Academy of Engineering. Daniel L. Farkas is Professor and Vice Chairman for Research in the Department of Surgery and Director of the Minimally Invasive Surgical Technologies Institute at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
