Biomechanics of Soft Tissue Injury

Dr. Mark Gomez is an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at the University of California, San Diego, where he earned his Ph.D. in 1988 in applied mechanics. He works as a consultant for Medical-Legal Consultants, Inc. which specializes in accidental injury analysis. Recipient of numerous awards and grants, he has also coauthored chapters in textbooks, served as a reviewer for five journals, authored or coauthored sixty original research articles, and jointly published forty-eight abstracts and extended abstracts. Dr. Gomez continues to participate in conferences as either a guest speaker or as an attendee.
